How my journey began

HOW I GOT STARTED:

PHOTOS:  I have always been intrigued by photography and capturing fleeting moments in time. From the second that I bought my first camera, I have been consistently photographing, training and learning in as many ways as I can to improve. Photography has always fascinated me. The way that you can capture a moment that will likely never occur again is the reason that I wanted to pursue this in my life. To be able to click a button in a split second of someones life - then to show them my photographs and receive their pure emotion… that is what I never want to let go of! From here on out, I am certain that I want to spend the rest of my life capturing the fleeting moments of others.

DESIGN: Designing started early on when I was in high school. I was able to take a graphic design class my junior year - Instantly, I was obsessed. To be able to learn programs and create your own graphics that are pleasing to the eye is simply captivating. I never wanted to leave my computer. I designed just to design, not to receive any type of grade. My senior year, I continued onto the advanced design classes, as well as photo illustration and yearbook. I was then asked to be the yearbook design editor and that was probably the trigger for me that I should pursue this full time.  I was able to incorporate my style and my designs into a memory for all the students to have as well as work with others to produce a final and successful product. Flash forward - amongst other internships and freelance work, I have been blessed to work for NBC in New York City as the Creative Intern & am currently a Digital Designer for Paramount while constantly learning and growing in my career so that I can work in this field for the rest of my life!

ALL ABOUT ME:

One thing that you need to know about me is that I am constantly creating & searching for inspiration. I am beyond thankful to have been given the ability to see what others may not see, whether I am photographing or designing.

I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio & I am the youngest of three (one sister and one brother), the happy owner of a spooky black cat named Truett & also have the worlds cutest nephew and nieces - which I am sure you will see in many of my photographs! I grew up traveling to New York City almost every weekend as well as living there one summer pursuing things in front of the camera and in my senior year I was the Creative Intern at NBC in Rockefeller Center where I learned so much to continue my career as a creative (behind the camera!). Being surrounded by the entertainment industry my whole life pushed me to relentlessly pursue it as a career. Previously, I interned in Orlando, Florida where I worked with Universal Studios as their Photo Studio Intern. Since then, I have resided in Orlando for several years and recently made the Tampa Bay area my permanent home while I work remote as a full time Digital Designer for Paramount amongst other freelance work. I so enjoy traveling and making to most out of my time and talents! I have completed my degree with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Digital Marketing. Besides my creative hobbies, I enjoy hanging out with friends & family, drinking plenty of iced vanilla lattes and finding the nearest body of water to explore! If you have made it this far, I hope to be working and creating with you soon!
